Candice Rediger – Vice President of Fundraising for UNRC. As a former rower and UNRC coach, she brings a unique perspective to the role and a thorough understanding of the team’s financial and equipment needs. She was even a rower on Coach Chris and Coach Dave’s team in high school! When she is not working on achieving UNRC’s program goals, she works as a full-time attorney representing businesses in labor and employment law matters.
Candice is a former All-American rower who completed her collegiate career at UC Berkeley with B.A. in Psychology and a minor in English. In college, Candice was undefeated at the PAC-10 championships and helped Cal win two team NCAA National Championships. After graduation, Candice joined the Cal Women’s Crew coaching staff as the Director of Student-Athlete Development. A year later, she attended law school in New York. Eager to start her legal career and reconnect with the rowing community after graduation, Candice joined UNRC’s coaching staff as the Novice Women’s coach for the 2012-2013 season.
Candice is thrilled to be a part of UNRC’s Board of Directors and be able to continue helping UNRC provide the best rowing experience for high school student-athletes in the Sacramento area. Contact Candice Rediger at email@example.com
Vicky Allen – Secretary. Vicky is a former educator who is farming her family’s 120-year-old orchard in Orangevale, CA. She joined the Upper Natoma Rowing Club Board of Directors in the Fall of 2016 serving as its Secretary. Her connection to this dynamic and renowned team goes back to its inception over seven years ago. Her daughter left another local rowing team to join UNRC as a coxswain for her last two years of high school. Being actively involved with UNRC has enabled her to see the team grow and flourish. For five years, she volunteered as the UNRC’s Food Coordinator. Vicky’s daughter, Erin, went on to receive several college recruiting offers for her skills as a coxswain. Vicky’s son, Erik, spent three years in high school as a rower with UNRC. Erik’s demanding college curriculum prevents him from rowing at the collegiate level, but he misses participating in the sport and plans to jump back in when time permits. Both Erin and Erik are committed athletes who carry with them critical life skills such as communication, dedication, perseverance and time management that they developed when passionately involved with UNRC. Vicky and her husband are forever indebted to UNRC for the truly life changing and enriching experiences and positive impact it has had on their family. Vicky currently resides in Folsom California.
